ValeAz : an ammonia nitrogen recovery process
The Valeaz technology makes it possible to recycle ammonia from sludge treatment: the ammonia-laden air from the composting facilities is treated in an acid scrubber, the purge of these scrubbers is then treated by the ValeAz process, which includes a vacuum stripping step. A 20% ammonia solution is produced, which can be used in flue gas treatment, in chemistry or agriculture, along with sodium nitrate used in the protection of sewage networks.
Depending on the needs of the manufacturer, ValeAz technology is available in both fixed and mobile units. It is also possible to adapt the process to liquid digestates.
